               Event and reception fees for Banquet Hall at Sweet Cherry Resort


Enclosed you will find suggested menu selections for your event. We can also customize your menus if you do not see particular selection you are looking for.


To ensure that your event is successful at the Sweet Cherry Resort please read following policies:


Food & Beverage:

Because Sweet Cherry Resort is responsible for the quality of food served to our guests we do not allow food or beverages to be brought into the reception hall without prior written approval from an authorized representative of Sweet Cherry Resort. Menu prices are subject to change without notice.

We will guarantee a specific menu price up to 60 days prior to a scheduled event.



It is a state law that any guest being served alcohol must be at least twenty one (21) years of age and must provide proper identification to the bartenders or servers upon request. If a guest can not provide proper identification they will not be served alcohol. Anyone who is under the age of twenty one (hereafter referred to as a “minor”) who attempts to obtain alcohol from the bar and/or anyone who assists a minor to obtain alcohol from the bar may be asked to leave the reception. We require “last call” and close the bar at least 30 minutes prior to the end of the reception. Bartenders are provided by Sweet Cherry Resort for a charge of $50.00. Two (2) bartenders will be provided for a four hour event for 100 or more guests. All indoor functions must end by 1:00 a.m.


Service and Sales Tax:

A minimum 18% service charge for wait staff will be applied to the total bill including room, food and bar charges. We will guarantee a service rate up to ninety days prior to a scheduled event. Michigan sales tax will be applies based upon the prevailing tax rate at the time of the scheduled event.


Payment Terms/Deposit:

To secure the date for your event we require a deposit of $1,000.00. This deposit will be applied to your total bill. Ninety percent (90%) of the deposit is refundable up to fourteen (14) days from the date the contract is signed, upon written request to cancel. Fifty percent (50%) of the deposit is refundable up to six months prior to the event, upon written request to cancel. If less than six months remain prior to the event, the deposit is not refundable or transferable.



Forty-five (45) days prior to the event an estimate number of guests attending and 50% of the total invoice balance is due. The final maximum number of guests is required seven days prior to the event and 40% of the remaining balance is due. Balance of invoice is due the day of the event. The final invoice will be based on the final maximum count or the actual number of guests served, whichever is greater. Any additional charges are due and payable the evening of the event. Please note there is a breakage fee for damage above and beyond customary.



As supply costs change without notice, so to our prices are subject to change.

Without a signed contract all terms, fees, and prices are subject to change without notice.

Sweet Cherry Resort does not allow the affixing of anything to the walls, doors, floors, furnishings. No open flame candles are allowed. No signs (except temporary directional signs) may be posted on the banquet hall property or public streets. The temporary directional signs must be removed by the host or sponsor of the event at the close of your event. Unless specific arrangements are made ahead of time with the Director or their representative, all decorations brought into the banquet hall must be removed by the close of the event and must not mar, damage, or stain the property. Sweet Cherry Resort will not assume or accept responsibility for damage to, or loss of personal articles or rented equipment left in the banquet hall prior to, during, or following any event.

Sweet Cherry Resort offers several different options for bar service and customizing your reception to meet your needs is only one of the options. The party host may choose from the following options or create his/her own bar inventory.


Inventory Service

The host selects from the following beverages and they will be made available at the bar and is charged for all beverages that have been served to their guests.


Soft Beverages and Bottled Water $2.00 or $175.00 per 100 people (unlimited)

Domestic Beer $3.00

Imported Beer $4.00 - $6.00

House Wine $6.00 per glass

Wine list is available for your special selection should be made at least 2 weeks in advance to insure delivery

Domestic Keg Beer                 $275.00 (1 keg serves approximately 115 portions)

Signature Cocktail                   $30.00 per gallon (peach schnapps, vodka and juices) 3 gallons p/100 people


Additional brands of liquor or after-dinner liqueurs, as requested by host, may be included

in an inventory bar. Price quotes are available.

Family Style Package includes soup or salad, choice of 2 entrees, one choice from side dishes vegetables, ice cream or sherbet (other desserts are available – ask for choice and price list)

These days, couples are embracing casual elegance, and using their own dinner parties as models.

Just like any other party, consider your reception dinner goal to bring a table full of people who may not know each other into conversation. Use your serving style to initiate interaction and interest.

Instead of plating the beef tenderloin individually for each guest, we will bring out one platter per table. Guests then serve themselves, circulating the platter and stimulating conversation.

 We are pleased you are considering the use of our banquet facilities. Please be assured we will do everything possible in the event of unforeseen circumstances. In any event; however, the resort shall not be responsible for any failure to perform, which is attributed to federal, state, or municipal actions or regulations, fires, floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, blizzards, war, power outages, acts of God, or any other act that is out of control of the resort. If, in the event of one of the above contingencies, the patron wishes to reschedule the event, and upon removal of such interruption, services shall be resumed at the specified date, time, and agreed upon rate.

The Sweet Cherry Resort makes every attempt to identify ingredients that may cause allergic reactions for those with food allergies. Every effort is made to instruct our food production staff on the severity of food allergies. There is always a risk of cross contamination. There is also a possibility that the manufacturers of the foods we use could change the formulation or substitute at any time, without notice. Customers concerned with food allergies need to be aware of this risk. We cannot guarantee the absence of cross contamination with our prepared foods.
